Today, April 15, 2020, we donated $1,000 to the Madera Rescue Mission. Madera Flea Market wants to support our community in this time of need. We know it is hard for everyone to deal with the constant changes from COVID-19. We hope this helps! Thank you for giving people a chance as you did with one of our employees, Gregory Bonner. Here is a little message from Greg about his time at the mission:
“My name is Greg Bonner. When I came into Madera, CA from Fresno, CA around 2009, I had hit rock bottom. I went straight to Madera Rescue Mission to look for help to get back on my feet. I was working on getting clean and sober, then I started looking around for work. For about a year, while I was at the mission, I finally landed a job with the Madera Flea Market. It was my second chance at life. After I was employed with them I went to Hope House then to an outpatient clinic to stay clean and sober. I have been working with the flea market from 2010 to the present. I now hold the position of Supervisor. I have been sober for 10 years now by the grace of God! I take everything one day at a time. I would like to thank everyone at the Madera Rescue Mission for helping me get my life back and showing me the way. I appreciate everything the mission and Madera Flea Market has done for me.”
We appreciate you Greg and all your hard work!!!
Thank you to Mike Unger for allowing us to be involved.
Have a wonderful day everyone! Stay safe and healthy.
